Locals peddle food and hot water to drivers and passengers of a convoy of vehicles stuck in heavy snow on a highway for more than 30 hours near Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province January 19, 2006. More than 40,000 vehicles were stranded on the National Highway 107 Henan section, stretching some 40 kilometres. Two days of blizzards shut down expressways in the province and also disrupted railway transport. At Zhengzhou railway station, about 70,000 passengers were also delayed, bringing chaos to the rail hub. [newsphoto]
