Hospital catches fire in Jilin, casualties unknown

CHANGCHUN -- A hospital caught fire in a northeastern Chinese city of
Liaoyuan Thursday afternoon, leaving unknown the situation of casualties by
press time, according to the local hospital source.
The fire occurred at about 5 p.m. Thursday at the largest hospital of
Liaoyuan city of Jilin Province, witnesses said, adding that the fire on one of
the hospital buildings has been putout while three other buildings are still
burning.
More than 10 fire engines are trying to put out the fire and ambulances are
carrying injured people to hospitals, witnesses said.
People in the buildings on fire were seen jumping off the buildings,
witnesses said. Rescue operation is going on.
