Chinese premier concludes visit to Portugal

LISBON -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao left here on Saturday afternoon for the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur after ending a two-day official visit to Portugal.

During his stay in Lisbon, Wen met with Portuguese President Jorge Sampaio and parliament President Jaime Gama, and held talks with Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Socrates.

During the visit, China and Portugal decided to establish the all-around strategic partnership and signed 10 pacts covering a wide range of fields.

Portugal is the fourth leg of Wen's five-nation Euro-Asia tour, which has taken him to France, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and will take him to Malaysia, where he will attend the 9th China-ASEAN and ASEAN Plus China, Japan and Republic of Korea Summit and the first East Asia Summit.
