Some cops in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, have been
learning sign language to be able to help the hearing and speech impaired while
on patrol duty.
The classes that started last week were taken by teachers and students at a
local school for the hearing and speech impaired.
The cops are happy that they will now be able to offer help if approached by
the disabled.
