Chinese footballer Shao Jiayi scored a first-half goal on Sunday to help 1860 Munich beat Karlsruhe 2-1.

With the victory, 1860 secured their top place in the German Bundesliga 2 division.

Shao took advantage of a mistake by Karlsruhe's defender Mario Eggimann 17 minutes into the game to opening the scoring.

He then assisted the second goal as 1860 jumped to a 2-nil lead in the 32nd minute.

The Chinese midfielder-turned-forward has been in good form in recent matches, after scoring in a first-half goal in 1860's 3-2 victory over Duisburg last Monday.
