365,000 compete for public servent posts

About 365,000 people in China sat for the national examination to compete for 10,282 public servant posts Saturday, making an average of 35 candidates vy for one single vacancy in the government, said government source here.

The Ministry of Personnel (MOP) said Saturday that the number of examinees posed a 47 percent rise as compared with last year.

For the most competitive posts, about 2,000 people compete for one job, said Zhang Qinglong, director of MOP examination center.

The high pressure in job hunting allures a large number of college graduates to sit for this exam, which provides more than 10,000 posts in central authorities, said experts here.

Besides, the job opportunities offers good opportunities for young people to explore their talents and potential to the full.
