A Philippine resident jumps to avoid burning tyres which were set on fire by protesters to block anti-riot policemen and members of a demolition team tearing down their homes at St. Joseph compound in Sun Valley, Paranaque city, south of Manila, November 14, 2005. Unrest erupted in the area on Monday after more than 200 families, who said they had government permission to occupy more than 1.2 hectares of land, tried to stop demolition teams tasked to clear the area by the land's private owner.
