Arrest warrant issued after Rodman misses court date
BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (AP) -- A Colorado arrest warrant is out for ex-NBA star Dennis Rodman, who's accused of failing to show up for arraignment on speeding and reckless driving charges.
But court administrator Christine Yuhas says authorities will make no effort to track down and arrest Rodman -- and that he'll only be picked up if he happens to return to Colorado. Rodman was charged after a state trooper allegedly clocked him traveling 98 miles-per-hour on Interstate 70, July 26th. Rodman was taking part in the 3,000-mile Bullrun USA 2005 charity auto rally at the time. The former Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons star was also involved in a minor accident, and was accused of failing to pay for $40 worth of gasoline and a ballcap in Glenwood Springs. A fan paid Rodman's tab, and authorities did not pursue charges.
