Arsenal striker Thierry Henry could miss France's key World Cup qualifying matches against Cyprus and Switzerland next month with a groin injury.

Henry has already pulled out of Arsenal's Champions League group game against FC Thun of Switzerland on Wednesday.

"I'll have complete rest for 10 days to see how it goes but it could take three weeks," he told sports daily l'Equipe.

"At the moment I doubt if I'll be fit for France."

Henry, who missed Saturday's Premier league defeat to Middlesbrough, said Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had approved the lay-off.

"I hate missing matches but I'll just have to give it time to heal."
