A Taiwan airline has found a treasured microphone belonging to pop diva
Chang Hui-mei after a monthlong search of Asian airports, an airline
official said on Monday.
Chang, also known as A-mei, reported losing the microphone after giving
a concert in Singapore on July 24. Following the concert, she returned to
Taipei via EVA Air.
The singer is so attached to the microphone she even has a nickname for
it-"Little White."
EVA Air checked with major airports throughout Asia and the Pacific
before finding the microphone at the Melbourne airport in Australia, said
airline vice president K. W. Nieh.
The microphone, with attached receiver, was mistakenly sent to
Melbourne on Emirates Airline from Singapore, Nieh explained.
After learning the microphone had been located, A-mei "gave out several
screams" of joy at a music festival Sunday in Taiwan's southeastern
Taitung county, the China Times Express reported.
Excited A-mei said she can now take "Little White"
to a charity concert
hosted by action film star Jackie Chan in Shanghai on Sept. 2, the report
said. A-mei is scheduled to sing a few songs at the concert.
