The origin of mother river well protected in Kaihua
The reporting trip, on August 22, gets to Kaihua County, where the Qiantangjiang River, mother river of Zhejiang Province, originates. Some 80.4 pen cent of the whole area of Kaihua is covered with forests. The air quality here is above the national standard while the earth surface water here is in the top notch measured by the national water standard. "Kaihua County can serve as a natural fresh air bar," said Jin Ming, the County's top official, "we have rich tourism resources here and the people in Kaihua are very hospitable to invite friends all over the country." On the hillside road extending directly into the origin of the mother rive, the reporters are deeply impressed by the prosperous greeneries and transparent rivers. The county issued red light to all industries that would do harm to local biological balance and environment in a bid to make sure that "the water floating through Kaihua is pure and clean," Mr Jin said. It's not always a contradiction between the money and environment. The Kaihua authority firmly holds the idea that they would take advantage of their good environment to make the life of locals more prosperous. "The Qiantangjiang River Origin Forests Park is so far under construction,' remarked Jin, saying that, "the peasants here would cash on the fledging tourism." Located in Qixi Township, the Park boasting of green woods, fresh air, pollution-free wild vegetables, and delicious fish, forecasts a wealthy future life of the 300 people living there. |
