The hot Taiwan singer Jay Chow's maiden film "Initial D" is to be
screened at the 62nd Venice Film Festival.
The film's leading actors Jay Chow, Edison Chen and Shawn Yue will
attend the festival, but the film is not competing for an award.
Hong Kong director Stanley Kwan's "Everlasting Regret" is the only
Chinese film entered in Competition session. While, Tsui Hark's "Seven
Swords" and Chen Kexin's musical "Perhaps Love" will respectively be the
opening and closing films of the festival.
This year's Venice Film Festival runs from August 31st to 10th
September.
The movie "Initial D" is based on a Japanese cartoon about a fierce
contest between car racers.
