Tom Cruise will splash out millions of dollars on an Arabian Knights-themed wedding when he marries fiancee Katie Holmes.

The 43-year-old actor wants to wed the former Dawson's Creek actress in Mexico's Maroma resort after witnessing a $1m ceremony earlier this year where 300 bare-footed guests partied in a castle decorated like a temple.

A source tells British newspaper the Sunday Mirror: "Tom was really annoyed that he couldn't have the presidential suite when he was on holiday with Katie in May.

"But it didn't stop him from taking a good look at the wedding that was going on. He was bowled over by what he saw. He got his people to call the wedding planner and they said: 'Can you make it identical but with millions of flowers?'

"Kevin was really excited about planning such a massive wedding, especially as Tom's people said that he could have a blank cheque."
