6 killed, 2 injured in electricity leakage accident in Tianjin

Six were killed and other two injured in an electricity leakage accident occurred Friday in a construction site of the bonded area in north China's port city Tianjin, according to local police.

The accident took place at 11 a.m. Friday when the eight construction workers hit the naked part of a electricity cable lying on the ground by an iron-basket they carried on the way across the construction site. Six of the workers died of electric shock on spot while the other two were injured, said a witness.

The two injured were sent for hospitalization. Further investigation is going on.
