"Primary conclusion" likely after Wednesday's plenary session - Russia

"Primary conclusion" on Korean nuclear issue may come out after Wednesday's plenary session, according to Alexander Alexeyev, head of the Russian delegation and Deputy Foreign Minister, sources said.

A plenary session of the talks opened at 9:00 Wednesday morning. And one-on-one contacts will be held Wednesday afternoon.

The current round of the talks opened Tuesday morning at the state guesthouse. After the opening session, heads of the six delegations conferred and then a series of bilateral consultations were held.

Date of conclusion for the six-nation talks is yet to be determined.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo will hold a banquet Thursday noon at the Daiyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing in honor of heads of the delegations to the ongoing six-party talks, according to the press center of the talks.

A welcome banquet was held Monday evening by Li Zhaoxing, China's foreign minister, in honor of all the negotiators in the six-way talks.

Negotiators in the talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue came from China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the United States, the Republic of Korea (ROK), Japan and Russia.
