Da Yawan nuclear power plant is steadily increasing power exports to Hong Kong, accounting for one forth of the city's total electricity consumption.

The facility lies in the east of Shenzhen city, in south China's Guangdong province, about 50 kilometers from Hong Kong.

Da Yawan is the largest nuclear plant in China, with 70 percent of its total producing capacity serving Hong Kong, producing 100 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in the past 11 years.
