A suicide attacker wearing an explosives belt detonated himself Wednesday outside an army recruiting center in Baghdad, killing at least 10 people, police and army officials said.

The attacker blew himself up at the entrance to the recruiting center, said a police officer on condition of anonymity.

Dr. Muhannad Jawad from Yarmouk Hospital said that 10 people had been killed and 21 injured.

The same recruiting center was subjected to a similar attack on July 10, when 25 people were killed and 47 wounded.
