Real Madrid president cool on signing Arsenal's Vieira
Updated: 2005-07-12 16:08

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is cool on the idea of reviving a move for Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira.

Vieira has reportedly told Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein if he is to be sold this summer that he wants a move to Spain, despite strong interest from Juventus.

However, after previously snubbing Real Madrid twice, Vieira risks missing out on a dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu with Perez reluctant to push through the deal.

Juve director general Luciano Moggi said on Sunday: "Arsenal have rejected a £20 million offer from Real Madrid. We like him a lot. He's similar to Emerson, who is a player we won't sell."

Despite Moggi's claims, Real insiders are insisting Vieira has some way to go to convince Perez to go back in for him.
