Two killed, 16 injured in France bus crash

Two people were killed and 16 injured when a tourist bus crashed near Agde,
in the Languedoc province of southwest France early Saturday, local police said.
The accident happened before dawn when the double-decker bus carrying Dutch
and Belgian tourists crashed on a main road.
Four of the injured were said to be in critical condition. The remaining 48
passengers on the bus were treated for shock and cuts and bruises.
Police said the likely cause was that the bus driver had fallen asleep at the
wheel and lost control of the vehicle. The driver had been taken into custody
and an investigation opened.
The bus had come from Overpelt in Belgium and was on its way to Barcelona in
Spain.
