Shanghai Mobile to build information network for armed police

Shanghai Mobile Co., Ltd. signed acontract Tuesday with the Headquarters of the Shanghai Armed Police to build a mobile information network for the latter.

The network includes a special mobile communication network for the armed police, a talk-back control system for police use and a police wagon positioning information system.

China Mobile deputy chief engineer Yang Haikang was appointed to be the deputy head of the armed police information construction team.

All the devices and the systems are specially made for the armed police, which will greatly enhance the communication capacity of the police forces, Yang said.
