Yao Ming film hits Chinese cinemas

Basketball icon Yao Ming's biopic film "The Year of the Yao" will premiere in China in mid- July.

The NBA star is expected to be present at the premiere. Many sports stars and celebrities in entertainment circles will also be there.

The Hollywood film is presented from the perspective of Yao Ming's interpreter, documenting Yao's NBA seasons in America, his language difficulties and other important events in his life.

The documentary was screened in Xin Dong'an Cinema during "Beijing International Sports Film Week" this week and won high praises from audience members.
