Real Madrid gives Santos "ultimatum" on Robinho

Real Madrid is not going to pay over 25 million dollars for Brazilian Robinho and expects to conclude the negotiations with Santos (Brazil) on July 8, Wagner Ribeiro, the representative of the 21-year-old striker, told Website "pele.net".

These conditions are contained in the new offer to the Santos executives sent by Real Madrid through Ribeiro, appointed as representative of the Spanish club in the negotiation.

"If Santos does not accept the proposal by July 8, Real will make an official note saying the club is no longer interested on the player," said Ribeiro to pele.net.

The 25-million-dollar offer is 10 millions higher than the offer presented last week to Santos President Marcelo Teixeira.

"The bidding for Robinho is twice as high the value paid by Milan for Kaka or nine times what was paid for Julio Baptista. Do you think it is little?" said the representative.

The public relations office of Santos said Teixeira will continue rejecting the offer if it does not reach the 50 million dollars.

Last Sunday, English Premier club Arsenal expressed their interest, through coach Arsene Wenger, to hire Robinho, and they would pay the same 25 million dollars as Real.
