Houston Rockets center Yao Ming will receive his first ever operation in San Francisco this Wednesday.

The operation by Yao's private surgeon will remove spurs in his left ankle, which made him feel painful in late NBA regular season.

Yao releases that if everything goes well, he will return to Houston and resume training in two weeks and promises it won't affect his national duty in Asian Championships late this August.

The giant damaged his ankle eight years ago when he was in Chinese Shanghai team.
