China defeats Turkey 2-1 in FIFA youth championship
中国青年队在荷兰举行的世界青年足球锦标赛B组比赛中以2比1战胜欧洲亚军土耳其队。谭望嵩在第22分钟率先入球,下半场土耳其将比分扳平,就在人们都以为双方将握手言和的情况下,中国队在补时阶段由两名替补出场的球员完成绝杀,董方卓强突攻门赢得角球,赵旭日外围凌空抽射挂角而入,最终中国青年队2-1胜出!

China defeated Turkey unexpectedly with 2-1 here on Saturday at the first match in Group B of FIFA World Youth Championship.

The Chinese team were offensive from the very beginning of the match despite that the Turkish youth team was believed to be the toughest team in Group B.

The efforts of the Chinese guys got rewarded when Tan Wangsong,a 180-cm defender, scored a goal at the 22th minute following a series of dazzling passes before the net of Turkey.

The Turkish guys woke up and turned out to be more offensive. However, facing tough defense they had to see their efforts in vain.

At the 36th minute, Turkish forward Ali Ozturk got a golden chance to face the Chinese goalkeeper Yang Cheng, but he wasted it with a over-pole shot.

During the second half of the match, the Turkish team shown up with more aggressiveness and pushed more pressure on the Chinese side.

At the 85th minute, the Turkish substitute Gorhan Gursoy equalized the score after the Turkish side created many chances.

During the additional period, however, the Chinese substitute midfield Zhao Xuri made his show with a 20-meter shot after the Turkish goalkeeper failed to defend a corner.

While celebrating its unexpected victory, the Chinese team have to face a difficulty that it got 4 yellow cards during the game while the Turkish team got 2.

Around 3000 audience, many of them are Turkish fans, watched the game, turning the Galgenwaard Stadium into a host stadium for Turkey.

The Chinese team would face Ukraine on June 14 and Panama on June 18.
