Shandong, Shenzhen win in soccer league cup

Shandong Luneng and Shenzhen Jianlibo have brought their on-par form in Asian Champions League to native tournament, as two sides both advance in the Chinese League Cup.

In Jinan, Shandong showed their quality, coming back from trailing twice to a 3-2 home victory over Beijing Hyundai.

The win, owing to playmaker Zheng Zhi's hat-trick, also helped Shandong break into the last four of the tournament with an aggregate score of 5-4.

In Shenzhen, a same 3-2 win gave the Super League champions a semi-final seat with 7-3 on aggregate.

In Wuhan, the home side made a stunning counterattack with a four-nothing triumph over Qingdao, coming back from a 4-1 down in the first leg to a 5-4 overall victory.

In another match Shanghai Shenhua beat Chongqing Lifan 2-1 and the Shanghai side notched up the last semi-final berth.
