Liu, Johnson to duel at NY athletics

duel between Chinese Olympic gold medalist Liu Xiang and four-time world
champion Allen Johnson will take place at the outdoor athletics meeting here on
Saturday.
Liu equalled the world record of 12.91 second since winning gold at last
year's Athens Olympics, while Johnson, the 1996 Olympic gold medalist, fell in
the quarter-finals.
There should have been a showdown between them at the Prefontaine Classic
IAAF Grand Prix meeting last Saturday but it failed to materialize when Johnson
was disqualified for a false start from the race that Liu went on to win in
13.06 seconds.
