Roma put tommorow's hopes on Taddei

Serie A club Roma have signed Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Taddei on a five-year contract from Siena. The 25-year-old joined Siena when they were in Serie B three years ago and helped them to promotion to the top flight. Before joining the Tuscan club Taddei had been with Brazilian club Palmeiras.

PSV agree fee for Finn Vayrynen

Taddei is Roma's first signing of the close season and will compete with his compatriot Mancini for a spot on the right flank.

Roma said Taddei would earn 1.75 million euro (£1.2 million) in his first season with his annual salary rising to 2.23 million euro for the following four campaigns.
