Japanese baseball coaches start collaboration with Cuba

Two coaches of Japanese baseball team Yomiuri Giants started their task in Cuba as part of a sports collaboration agreement between the two islands.

Pitchers coach Massaki Kitaru and doctor and trainer Toru Kuramata, of the Giants, arrived in Havana for a working period that will extend until August, said Thursday the local press .

Kitaru was the best pitcher in terms of clean accepted runs with the Lotte Orions, in 1969, and a season before was the most valuable player of the Pacific League.

Kuramata, on the other hand, majored in Education, specializing in Sports Science at Gakugei University, Tokyo, but he also is a physician, graduated at the Sports Academy of the United States.
