First bridge over sea near completion

The Donghai Bridge, China's first over the sea in Shanghai, is a step closer to completion May 25, 2005 when its main structure was finished after 35 months. The construction began on June 26, 2002. The bridge, 32.5 kilometers long over the Hangzhou Bay, will serve as a major transport line in the developed Yangtze delta area. [newsphoto]
