Boca Juniors president Mauricio Macri will officially announce on Friday that Diego Maradona - once considered the best player of the world - will start working for the team this week.

Macri told reporters here Tuesday that the club want Diego "to be the image of Boca" and create a "executive post" for him.

Nonetheless, other sources reminded that a few days ago, Maradona did not hide his intention "to become the coach of Boca's senior team."

When the Boca Juniors Board gather on Friday, Diego will be officially a member of the club "after eight years of absence", Macri said.

Yet, in spite of the wishes of the parties involved, some sources assure that "the terms of Macri and Maradona do not coincide" although they do not say which, so according to some, "it will be necessary to wait and see what happens."
