Renowned Chinese sociologist Fei Xiaotong died in Beijing Sunday night at the age of 95. [baidu] 

Fei Xiaotong, a noted Chinese sociologist, anthropologist and active social worker, passed away in Beijing on Sunday night at the age of 95.

Fei was also the prominent leader of the China Democratic League, a democratic party in China, and an intimate friend of the Communist Party of China.

He was the vice chairman of the seventh and eighth National People's Congress Standing Committee, the vice chairman of the sixth Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Standing Committee and the honorary chairman of the Central Committee of China Democratic League
