"The total volume of China's foreign trade is expected to grow by 15 percent to reach the US$1.3 billion mark," said Fu Ziying, assistance minister of commerce, at the 97th Chinese Export Commodities Fair being held in southern Chinese city of Guangzhou on April 19.

"The International Monetary Fund estimated that the world economic growth rate in 2005 will decrease to 4.3 percent from 5 percent last year in light of the rocket-high global cruel oil price and inflation pressure worldwide. However, it provides a still larger space for China to expand its foreign trade," Fu added.
