Royal cup of tea

A businessman bought 100 grams of longjing tea, the top green tea in the
country, for 145,600 yuan (US$17,470) on Monday at an auction in Hangzhou,
capital of Zhejiang Province.
The starting price for the tea was 80,000
yuan. The tea was evaluated by experts as the best of the West Lake Longjing and
was derived from 12 tea trees that were designated for Emperor Qianlong during
the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
It was processed by Longjing Village's
1999 champion tea farmer Sheng Weigen and his brother Sheng
Yaomin.
