Chinese win three gold medals in the opening day of the World Cup gymnastics meet.

Chinese athletes have pocketed three gold medals on the opening day of the World Cup gymnastics meet in Sao Paulo.

In men's rings, Chen Yibing overshadowed six-time World Cup champion Yuri Van Gelder of the Netherlands to win the title with a score of 9.725.

Chinese teenager Dong Zhendong claimed the gold in the men's pommel horse with 9.500, while Zhang Yufei was first in the women's uneven bars with 9.475.

Today, Dong Zhengdong competes in the parallel bars, while Pang Panpan and Lin Xia will perform in the finals of the beam and floor.
