Kashmiris
wept and
hugged each other Thursday as a new bus service across their
beautiful but divided land reunited families split by politics
and war for nearly 60 years.
Nineteen Indian Kashmiris defied separatist rebel threats and crossed
into Pakistani-controlled Kashmir to meet their relatives after 31
Pakistani Kashmiris walked across a bridge the other way, into India, to
find their kin.
"I'm 80 years old, but now I feel like a 12-year-old," said Ghulam
Haider Khan shortly after arriving in Pakistani Kashmir.
"I have not met my relatives here since 1947. It is a blessing of God
that I am here today," he said.
Basque
separatists(巴斯克分离主义者)。
