CTIC web upgraded (tibet.cn) Updated: 2005-04-07 11:05 China Tibet Information Center
(hereinafter referred to as CTIC, tibet.cn) has been upgraded with TRS system
recently.
With multi-language, Chinese, English and Tibetan, CTIC aims
at introducing Tibet objectively, serving for Tibet modernization. Since the
launch in 2000, CTIC has been offering netizens an insight into Tibet in terms
of politics, economy, history, culture, travel, religion and so on. Now it has
become the most influential web for reporting daily happenings in China's
Tibet.
Aiming at introducing Tibet to the world and serving the
modernization of Tibet, since 2000, CTIC has participated in many important
activities concerning Tibet, such as the celebrating activity for the 50th
anniversary of Tibet's Peace Liberation, National Aid-Tibet Result Exhibition,
2001 Beijing Tibetology Proseminar, Beijing-Lhasa Vehicle Contest, Tibet Century
Symphony Concert, Gesar Proseminar, China-Nepal Cultural Intercourse Week and
China Tibet Culture Week.
Besides it's participation in all kinds of
related activities, CTIC has also organized some influential activities. In
April of 2003 CTIC initiated and sponsored The First Tibetan Internet
Cooperation Conference. Delegates from Internet units in Tibetan language such
as Tibetan version of Tibet Channel of Xinhua Online, China Tibet News Net,
Qinghai News Net, Internet Center of Tibet University, Internet Center of
Northwest Nationality Institute's Information Research Center participated in
the conference. All the participants came to a common understanding for further
cooperation to jointly form a cooperative field of Tibetan webs for the
communion of net information resources about Tibet.
Moreover, as the
first Internet media sponsored for supporting Tibetan antelope as mascot of 2008
Olympics, CTIC plays an important role in the long running of Tibetan
antelope.
Experts hold CTIC displays the daily happenings in Tibet with a

true Tibet.
