Programme to provide nursing care for elders

Senior people in Liwan District of Guangzhou are expected to be able to soon
hire professional domestic helpers for nursing care, the Southern Metropolis
News reports.
The programme will provide 25 nurses from rest homes in the district. They
are being trained by medical experts in subjects such as nursing, hygiene,
emergency rescue and nutrition.
How to help seniors who are unable to move to take showers and wash their
hair is included in the courses.
The seniors who are in need may receive subsidies from the government when
employing the nurses.
