Coal mine blast traps 19 miners in Heilongjiang

A coal mine blast trapped 19 miners in Qitaihe, a city in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, Monday, according to local government.

The accident occurred at about 11:00 a.m. at Xinfu Coal Mine under Heilongjiang Qitaihe Coal Industry Clean Coal Group, according to Heilongjiang Provincial Administration of Coal Mine Safety.

Rescuers are trying to enter the tunnel. Further investigation is underway.
