Zhu appointed head of China men`s soccer team

Zhu Guanghu has finally got his appointment as head coach of the men's national soccer team.

The State General Administration of Sports has finally approved the appointment of Zhu Guanghu as the head coach of China’s national soccer team.

The Chinese Football Association, which is a subordinate organization of the Administration, announced the decision today.

Zhu Guanghu, now with an official authorization, will start selecting players for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Li Shubin, Xu Tao and Guo Zuojin are also in the coaching group.

The national squad will start a series of warm-up games with matches against Spain and Ireland at the end of this month.

The national squad has chosen Mingjiang in Guangdong province as their training base.
