NBA lottery to be launched in China

The State Sports General Administration (SSGA) announced Tuesday that an NBA lottery would be launched nationwide in March.

The NBA lottery will run every week, with one match to play per day. The national lottery center will announce the lottery fixture every Thursday, and the lottery will on sale at soccer lottery sales stands.

The winner needs to guess the correct unit number for the first half score and the final result.

For example, if the first half and final score for a match are 53:45 and 101:98, winner should have the numbers 3, 1, 5 and 8.

All winners with the correct numbers will have a prize of 9,800 yuan (US$1,195).

The deputy director of the lottery center, Zhang Weihua, said most matches chosen for the lottery would be shown live on CCTV or local channels.
