Shanxi breaks up gambling gang

Police detained 27 suspects for running a gambling ring in Jincheng in north China's Shanxi Province, confiscating 32 million yuan (3.8 million US dollars).

Police said Zhao Wuqing, Zhao Huiqing and Zhao Xuqing organizedgambling parties in Jincheng and nearby Gaoping. The three also organized Internet-based and overseas gambling, including a gambling trip to Myanmar, police said.

The police also confiscated 13 computers used for gambling, they said.
