Car collision kills 5, injures 12 in Zhejiang

Five people were killed and 12 others injured in a car collision in eastern China's Zhejiang Province on Friday, local police said Saturday.

The accident occurred at around 5 a.m. Friday in Lucheng District of Wenzhou City, a section of the No. 330 National Highway, when a car carrying six people ran into a microbus with 15 on board, killing five at the scene and injuring 12 others.

All the injured, including one badly wounded, had been hospitalized, sources said.

Investigation into the cause is underway.
