overcrowded train through the window in Hangzhou railway station,
east China's Zhejiang province January 25, 2005. The nationwide
travel peak started Tuesday as the Lunar New Year, Spring Festival which
falls on February 9, approaches. The transport authorities
estimate that about 2 billion trips (air, rail, shipping and bus) would be
