Guangdong fatal expressway tragedy kills 24

Thirteen cars collided one after another around 7:00 p.m. Sunday on expressway from Kaiping to Yangjiang near the city of Jiangmen, in southern Guangdong Province, killing 24 people and injuring 30 others.

Nine of the injured remain in critical condition as of Monday morning.

Those injured were rushed to hospitals right after the accident that occurred at the Enping section of the expressway. 

A probe into the cause of the collision is underway.
