New Orleans scored 25 first-half points Sunday night against the Miami Heat to set a franchise record for fewest points in the opening two quarters.

The Hornets, 8-of-35 from the field, broke the mark of 27 set by the then-Charlotte Hornets at Minnesota on Nov. 9, 1990. The franchise record for fewest points in any half is 19, set in 2000-01 against the New York Knicks.

Miami led 56-25, tying the largest halftime margin in Heat franchise history.

The NBA record for fewest points in a first half during the shot-clock era is 19 by the Los Angeles Clippers against the Los Angeles Lakers in 1999.
