Brazil tops FIFA's world rankings

World champions Brazil remain top of the FIFA world rankings in the first release for 2005.

With few matches being played over the end of the year period, the main mover was Germany who climb three places from 19th to 16th due to their successful tour of Asia.

China stands at 54th in the table and 9th in Asia.
