China's air force will recruit 30 more women pilots this year to undertake responsibilities in areas like trasportation and reconnaissance, a report said today.

The eighth group of women aviators in China, between age group of 16 to 19, would shoulder more responsibilities such as transportation, air refuelling and reconnaissance flights, officials said.

The recruitment work kicked off yesterday and would end in July, China Radio International reported.

China is one of the countries with maximum number of women pilots, and has trained over 300 women pilots since 1949
