One killed, 13 injured in Shaanxi road collision

One people was killed and three others badly injured in a head-on road collision in northwestern China's Shaanxi Province Saturday afternoon, local police said on Sunday.

The accident occurred at 1345 Saturday on a highway in Xianyang City when two coaches, totally carrying 40 persons, ran into each other killing one at the scene and leaving the others wounded. All the injured, including 13 in serious condition, had been under medical care in two local hospitals, noted the sources.

Investigation into the cause is underway.
