Hip Dog Club
(City Weekend)
Updated: 2005-01-04 11:09

The idea of having a dog for dinner just became a whole lot more palatable thanks a dog loving Hong Konger. Opened in Sanlitun's Nali Market, the Hip Dog Club is the first restaurant in China to place dogs in the dining chair and not on the table.

Dog owners can now take their pets in and choose a range of tasty homemade biscuits, which sell for Y10-20 per 100 grams. And while customers eat, patient owners can surf the web with free wireless access, or purchase the latest in dog fashion accessories for their already pampered pooch.

So far, thirty dogs have visited and each new arrival gets their Polaroid put on the wall. Those who don't have a dog need not worry; they also have beers, sandwiches and of course, hot dogs.

Address:
Nali Market (opposite Industrial and Commercial Bank)
Sanlitun North Bar Street Chaoyang District
