Winter swim to commemorate Chairman Mao's 111th birthday

More than 40 winter swimmers, aged from 34 to 71, approach the bank of the Yantse River with a picture of late Chinese leader Mao Zedong in Chongqing, Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on December 24, 2004. They swam across the river to commemorate the 111th birthday of Chaiman Mao which falls on December 26 this year.[newsphoto]
